I Voted for Obama over Hillary

I voted for Obama over Hillary in the 2008 California primary because I felt he was the more electable. This time around I plan to give the nod to Hillary for the same reason.

I don't like the fact that it took Hillary an inexcusable length of time to come to the positions important to me and was (and still am) most upset with her pro-Bush voting for the war and the Patriot Act. I am much more in agreement with Bernie's lifelong voting record. Unquestionably, Bernie and I are much more politically in sync.

Granted, Hillary is far from perfect and often cast political, rather than principled, votes. I fully agree with Bernie's recent criticisms of Hillary. They are very valid points. However, I don't dare risk losing the presidency to a Republican simply because I am unhappy with some of Hillary's past actions. The stakes are much too high and there is too much to lose.

The next president will likely appoint one or two members of the Supreme Court. Consider the damage still being done by Republican appointees. Presidents live on in the Supreme Court long after their term has ended. It is imperative that the next appointments are made by a Democratic president.

Until such time as I am convinced Bernie is more electable than Hillary, which I presently consider unlikely, I will not be voting for him in the all important California primary.
